My childhood years were spent in a small town located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Weekly drives to the surrounding countryside to visit family, or just to briefly escape the city, greatly contributed to my love for nature and open spaces.
My passion for art has grown over time as travels and studies expanded well beyond those experienced in childhood. While studying in Philadelphia, frequent visits to museums and libraries influenced how I viewed the world and sparked my interest in photography.
Nova Scotia, Canada, was my first road trip destination with a newly purchased Canon FTb camera – a 35 mm film camera with all-manual settings. This was also the defining trip to anchor my commitment to landscape and nature photography.
The best images are composed and captured in camera, but with the use of digital equipment and digital darkroom post-processing, new levels of style and sophistication can be achieved. With the commitment to always improve my craft I belong to several photographic organizations including Santa Clarita Valley Photographers Association (SCVPA) and
Photographic Society of America (PSA).
My photography documents the interaction between peoples and nature throughout Southern California, including Glendale, Pasadena, or your favorite location.
